Hey guys,

I was thinking about how my taste in cars has changed and evolved over the years. I wanted to post a timeline of the cars that I obsessed over since I remember diving into the world of automobiles. In 1998, I started fifth grade and that is when I fell head over heals in love with cars. Here is my rough list of cars I obsessed over. How has your car obsession evolved over time?

1998: All I could think about was the C5 Corvette. One of my classmate's father had one of these in dark red and I was hooked.

1999-2000: I was in love with second generation Corvette, especially the 1967 427 tri-power

2000-2001: I was in love with the Porsche 996 Carrera, BMW E46 M3 and Ferrari 550 Maranello

2001 - 2003: I loved American Muscle Cars. The Hemi Cuda, 1969 Camaro RS/SS and Chevelle LS6 were my favorites

2004-2005: I loved the BMW 5 series

2006 - 2010: These are my college years. I fell in love with the Ferrari 250GT series of cars (specifically the 250 GT SWB), Jaguar XKSS and the Maserati Ghibli (which is still one of my favorites)

2011 - 2012: I recently graduated college and I was in love with the Jaguar E-Type

2012 - Current : I fell in love with the Porsche 911. I never loved the Porsche 911 (except the 996 when I was in 7th grade), but I always liked the styling of the 964. I had lived in NYC for three years and had no need for a car. When I moved back to Cleveland in 2013, I decided the first car I am ever going to buy will be a sports car, and that sports car will be a 911 and had to be a 964. I searched high and low and found one for sale near my home town and purchased it.

My 964 is my current obsession, but other cars I am currently infatuated with include: Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 and SC, 911 GT3 RS and the Jaguar F-Type (and I still love the Maserati Ghibli)
